How many transiting planets are known?

This table gives the total number of known transiting planetary systems, split into well-studied planets, little-studied planets, and brown dwarfs.

The objects are subdivided according to the photometric data used for their discovery.

Planets already known from radial velicity observations are assigned to the dataset used for the discovery of transits.

The category Other primarily consists of discoveries from ground-based multi-purpose telescopes.
