Weather: Clouds (data likely not useful)
Comments: The night started with thin clouds, becoming thicker and thicker.
Given the night quality I went for the HATS-2 transit.
There was no finder chart online but I chose a FOV with good start.
Counts were very low even in focus. HATS-2 data is likely not useful.
Closed at 04:04 due to no visibility.

Comments:
HATS-18 science images start from HATS18_000006.fits 23:32 UT with a Defocus set at 38.24mm.
Delay caused by difficulty/slow response in having to manually focus DFOSC via VNC.
In the end I gave up and just altered the focus to achieve an average ADU count of ~300K.
At 00:35UT altered Exp time to 85s due to HATS-18 getting too bright.

The technician arrived after the flats to fill the nitrogen tank from DFOSC,
so the telescope had to be stopped and parked, loosing 15 minutes or so for the transit.

Comments: Focused manually the best we could in the little time between transits.
Made a mistake at WASP24 EB, started observing as east of the pier up to image 9,
then realise that it is better at west of the pier and changed it, so from image 11.
Just observed up to 04:50 when the telescope hit the limit (image 155).

After starting the defocused WASP-19 observations the temperature increased and the source
desended from over 40 deg altitude to near 20. The end result was that the telescope focused
itself during the observations. The peak intensity of WASP-19 increased by 50%.

Comments: Delay in setting up WASP-43 observations, due to pointing west in I band which gave
dim stars (compared to sky background) in FOV, had to use 30s exposures to pick out reference
stars for comparison to finding chart. As requested FOV is almost size of CCD and a requested
comparison star (c3) was outside requested FOV when the target was centred on CCD, had to
manually shift telescope pointing to capture target and all requested comparison stars, which
took a handful of checking exposures. However, started before stated ingress.

We changed focus but two stars that should be seperate had an overlap. so we continued with
focus state. Please ignore from first to 7th image.(We had to change focus after the 7th image
becuase TCS showed focus=38.16 rather 38.39.).
We started with delay becuase transit was out of telescope horizon.

Comments: stars are not separated. The max count for the source star was 320000. If we had focused
the telescope more so that the target star be resolved from the blending and near star, the
maximum count would have increased more. So we do not change the focus value more. It seems that
for texp=40s and in good weather condition, focusing the telescope to resolve the target just makes
the count exceed from 350000. Maybe decreasing the exposure time and focusing the telescope more
could have resolved the problem, but we was not sure if decreasing texp is good idea or not.
