We decided to proceed with half of the DFOSC field of view blocked (by the camera shutter?) but
connection problems meant it was difficult for Simona and me to communicate and for Simona to
log onto the TCS and DFOSC. It was also tricky to get even 2 comparison stars into half the
normal FOV. We missed the ingress and midpoint. Hey, we managed to do something with half a
field of view, maybe you will be able to do something with half a transit.

DFOSC Probs: Odd problem with dome flats for DFOSC. Strange gradient moving across image.
From bright (450,000 counts on left hand side to 10000 cts on right) (10000 cts is the bias
level). Seems as though something is blocking the aperture partially and not a electronic
problem as the bias is unaffected. Tried also to take flats with different filters and get
the same blockage in the image. See same pattern when taking a snapshot of a object from
bright star catalog. Flats for LI unaffected. Camera says 'Vignetting' on DFOSC camera
window I dont think it usually says this!
