Jessica Craig started her PhD in October 2020, to work on galaxy groups and clusters behind the Magellanic Clouds to study the interaction between galaxy evolution and their environment. This is based in first instance on deep near-infrared images from the VISTA survey of the Magellanic Clouds (VMC) but also exploits the wealth of multi-wavelength data available in this part of the sky. She expects to apply machine learning tools and hopes to perform follow-up spectroscopy.
