Conference dinner

The conference dinner for IAU Symposium 256 takes place on Thursday 31 July 2008, at the historic Wrenbury Hall in the beautiful Cheshire countryside.

If you would like to join in this relaxing and friendly event, but didn't indicate this on your registration form, please contact us as soon as possible.

There are three menu options, and we ask you to make your choice by selecting one of them below, by Monday 14 July 2008 the latest (if you happen to miss this deadline please contact us). All are accompanied by complementary wine (within limits!), juice and water, and a wide range of other drinks are available from the bar. A special beer, "Magellanic Ale", will be brewed exclusively for this occasion by a local brewery, and you will be welcomed at Wrenbury Hall with a complementary glass of Pimms on the lawn.

The three choices are as follows (we regret that you won't be able to "pick and mix"):

Meat menu:
"Wrenbury Hall" prawn cocktail
Supreme of chicken filled with Oyster mushrooms with a Marsala wine sauce
Classic English strawberry shortcake with clotted cream ice cream

Fish menu:
"Wrenbury Hall" prawn cocktail
Pan-fried fillet of salmon with a Sorrel cream sauce
Apple and cinnamon tart with English toffee ice cream

Vegetarian menu (suitable for vegan):
Fan of sweet Galia melon with summer berries and fresh raspberry coulis
Wild mushroom risotto with a truffle-scented rocket salad
A terrine of summer fruits with vanilla pod ice cream
