Task 3.6 – Measurement of FTF in industrial gas turbine
Supervisor: Frederico Dacca’, Federico.Dacca’@aen.ansaldo.it
Host: Ansaldo Energia, Genova, Italy.
The Early Stage Researcher for task 3.6 of the TANGO Network will be trained (at IITM) in measuring the flame transfer function in an industrial-scale combustion rig. He/she will then engage in a systematic measurement campaign on the Sesta rig to explore the influence of various parameters. This task is a short-term research training project (lasting 8 months), unlike all the other ESR tasks, which are designed to lead to a PhD degree. Task 3.6 will provide experimental data that will be of interest to task 2.3 of the TANGO Network. Also, it will benefit from the expertise obtained on FTF measurements in task 3.5 and on hydrodynamic effects in task 2.3 of the TANGO Network.
