Benjamin ("Ben") Tatton worked on the VISTA near-infrared survey of the Magellanic Clouds (VMC). He used red clump stars to construct a 3-D picture of the Magellanic System. He also published a beautiful map of the extinction and molecular cloud complexes around the Tarantula Nebula. Ben travelled to Munich, Padova, Potsdam, Brussels and Australia (twice, to observe with the Anglo-Australian Telescope and to attend a conference in Perth). He is now converting thesis chapters into papers on the structure of the LMC and SMC.
