Following the IAU symposium on "Modelling of stellar atmospheres" in Uppsala in June 2002, a real need was identified for a directory of models used in stellar atmosphere work. Keele will be co-ordinating and hosting this directory, in order to increase communication between modellers and users.
Hopefully, this directory will list what various models do, their level of support, what parameters and assumptions go into the models, atomic data, physics, contact points and various other things.
To create a directory, we need information about the models out there!
We need input. If you have any models of stellar atmospheres then you can submit them to our directory using an online form.
This page can also be used to give us feedback about what we could be doing with the directory, what information you would like to see in there, what we have forgotten or what you want removed.
Alternatively, you can email the maintainers directly, Richard Ogley or Allie Ford.
We would also like to have a list of references to published papers
relating to model atmospheres.
List of papers published or in press can be found using this link.
We are trying to establish a newsletter to keep everyone in touch with what's going on in the exciting world of Stellar Atmospheres. Follow this link to the MAD Newsletters.
