Aviation information and links

Astronomy lets you fly around the world a lot (currently on 11 days in the air, mainly on astro-business), this has fueled an interest in aviation, so I have written a page with some links and information.

You can get all the fun of joining a virtual airline, with flights planned out for you by a professional dispatcher, and a highly organised virtual airline, you cannot go wrong by joining AWVA.

To help me in planning these VA flights, I have created a flight plan form. This is available in pdf format for both A4 and US letter paper sizes.

I have also started learning how to fly with Tristar Aviation. Friendly, competent, and with a great atmosphere. If you want to learn to fly around Melbourne's Moorabbin airport, I would recommend them highly.

Also as a handy reference, my METAR and TAF report breakdown.
