NuGrid Open Day, July 5, 2011

As part of the 2011 collaboration meeting we will host an Open Day on Tuesday, July 5, 2011.

Open Day at NuGrid Collaboration Meeting 2011

The 4th annual meeting of the NuGrid collaboration will take place at the University of Victoria, BC, Canada, from July 4-8, 2011. For the general goals of the NuGrid collaboration see the home page of this plone.

As part of the collaboration meeting we will host an Open Day, a tradition that we have started at the 2nd collaboration meeting in 2009. The goal of the Open Day is to provide a forum for exchange and information between the visting scientist of the NuGrid collaboration and the local community. Members of the local astronomy, astrophysics and nuclear physics community are invited to share a day with a diverse range of international experts in nucleosynthesis modeling in stars and stellar explosions, as well as the relating areas in astronomy and nuclear physics.

Meeting Venue

The Open Day will take place in SCI A104 (Bob Wright). This is on the UVic Campus, and maps and directions can be found here. The day will start at 8:50am and will end with a social evening.
